We went to Paris

Our trip to Paris was very special. We enjoyed wonderful travel and accomodations, plus we had 5 days to see everything we could. Besides visiting all the major monuments, museums and churches, we also enjoyed an evening river cruise on the Seine. We put hundreds of miles on the metro trains and on our feet. We picnic'd in the eiffel tower park twice.

Drake launched this paper plane from atop the eiffel tower

That's Napoleon's tomb illuminated in the background

Drake was amazed to see armor in his own size. (and some even smaller!)

Destin and all of us enjoyed eating escargots

This fish did not enjoy the supper

We enjoyed coffee and croissants at a cafe

Notre Dame cathedral (behind us) is where we went to church

This was the salad course at a cool restaurant where we ate one night

The "venus de milo" at the Lourve museum

The Louvre had a comprehensive Egyptian exhibit

Drake and his beloved "monalisa"

A self portrait of Mr. Van Gogh

We found out that you are NOT supposed to take pictures inside McDonalds!!! (?!?)

This is an ACTUAL "sewer tour" museum!!! and it STUUUUUNK!

Napoleon's tomb is inside this dome (a former church)

That's his crypt behind us

Getting home was a bit of an adventure, but we got to fly in first class both ways, and visited the president's clubs in Houston, Paris, Newark (and Lexington KY!!!!)

We took hundreds of photos but just put a few of them here. We will get more up sometime on our picasa album when we get that updated.

Yes! I'm so excited to be the first to leave my comment. The trip looks like so much fun--mostly because of the people on it! So glad you didn't lose those great pics. We love you our amazing family! Hugs, hugs, hugs!
