When hurricane Ike hit Texas, we had evacuated ourselves to Longview. Phil had some days off, so we just ran around in the rain and enjoyed the storm!!!! Phil must have heard a tree falling behind him in this photo!!
Because of the power outages all over Houston, the kids had 2 weeks off from school!!. We visited Mimi and Papa in Dallas, but while there, our van broke down. It turned out to be the fuel pump. Carlin Vose fixed it at his shop
Even in Longview we were without electricity for about 4 days. So we cooked and ate outside, and even enjoyed live music!!!!
This tree fell during the storm, just barely missing the Bonds' new house!!! We are cooking spagetti on the grill here with no electricity
